TRIBUTE TO MY MUM
Created by Erebi 9 years ago
Destiny
brought me into your life and you loved me just like one from your very
womb. You cared for me, counseled me and taught me the life of a praying
mother. You opened your heart and arms to me not knowing who I was. You left
your bed for me and gave me a place in your home.
You nursed and prayed for me in illness and comfort me in my times of despair.
You inspired my study of the word. As a culture, you woke up in the middle of
the night to study the word and pray mentioning every one of us. You have
always prayed and longed to see my children but destiny again has separated us
without you seeing “Ebubechukwu your grandson”.
No one knew I wasn’t your biological daughter. A godly mother and my role model
in every sense. Adorned with grace and great patience. Of a truth you have laid
a very high standard for us your children in your service and love for God and
we pray for God to give us the grace to follow your footsteps and make you
smile in glory.
Still praying and believing to see you back on your feet doing what you love
most (praying /studying the Word and service) but I was wrong. The news of your
passage was like a terrible nightmare but the reality came on me while putting
these words together.
Mummy like you always say “God is too faithful to fail” even in a time like
this, I count Him faithful and my consolation is that “you have fought a good
fight, you have finished your course, you have kept the faith; certainly there
is laid up for you the crown of righteousness” O death, where is your sting? O
grave, where is your victory?
Rest on Mummy in the bosom of your Lord and Lover, Jesus Christ.
I love you Mummy!
